My CrossFit Story
Back in 2020, I was really into pole sport skills, and I figured that if I improved my strength and conditioning, a lot of those skills would come more easily. As it happened, I rode my bike past Hongtai CrossFit one day, saw how strong everyone inside looked, and got off my bike right there to ask about classes. I went on to complete both a trial class and Foundations. What really pulled me into this wonderful CrossFit cult, though, was during group classes and extra training afterward. My classmates and training partners were always genuinely cheering each other on, every time someone learned a new skill or broke through a personal barrier.
Why I Coach
When I first started learning CrossFit, there were so many different and complicated movements that I often got stuck on new ones. And because I was too shy to ask questions, I'd spend double the time figuring out breathing, movement structure, and technical details on my own. Once I got a better handle on things myself, I wanted to share that with others — to make complicated things simple, and turn difficult things into something fun.
