Personal Training
Group classes build community and consistency. Personal training builds exactly what you need, at your pace, on your schedule. Whether you're working toward a specific goal, returning from injury, or want more individual attention than a group class allows, our coaches build a program around you.
One-on-One or One-on-Two
Train solo, or bring a friend or partner and split the coach's attention between two of you, same coach, same session, different price structure.
Every session includes:
Goal setting — a clear conversation about what you want to achieve, whether that's strength, weight loss, mobility, or competition prep
Movement assessment — your coach identifies imbalances, limitations, or technique issues holding you back
A tailored program — workouts built specifically around your goals, schedule, and current fitness level, not a generic template
Hands-on coaching and form correction — the kind of individual attention that's harder to get in a group class setting
Progress tracking — regular check-ins on strength, skills, and benchmarks so you can see real, measurable improvement over time

Personal training at Hongtai isn't just for beginners or just for advanced athletes, it's for anyone who wants more individualized attention than a group class provides. That includes:
New members who want extra one-on-one time to build confidence before or alongside group classes
Athletes with specific goals, a competition to prepare for, a lift to improve, a skill to finally nail
Members returning from injury, working with a coach who can adapt training around your recovery
Anyone whose schedule doesn't align with our group class times and wants flexibility
Several of our coaches offer personal training, each with their own areas of focus. Meet our coaches to find the right fit, or reach out and we'll help match you with a coach based on your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No, you don't need to be a member to book personal training.
-
Not really. Foundations is a required step before joining group classes, and while a coach could theoretically structure PT sessions to cover similar ground, it wouldn't make much sense to, Foundations is built specifically for that purpose and is the more efficient path. Personal training is a great complement to your regular training once you're up and running — not a substitute for the Foundations requirement itself.

Every coach brings different specialties, some focus on Olympic weightlifting, others on HYROX performance, injury recovery, or working with beginners. Check our Coaches page for each coach's background, or tell us your goals and we'll recommend a good fit.
-
Yes, many members combine both, using personal training to work on specific skills or goals alongside their regular group class membership.
