Protecting Our Treasures
Our parents gave us everything. Our Seniors Program helps them stay strong, steady, and independent — with coaching built specifically for adults 55 and older, in a warm community that treats them like family.
Built for adults 55 and older, with no prior fitness experience required — many of our senior members have never set foot in a gym before walking through our doors. Every class is designed around four goals:
Quality longevity — training that helps you feel good and stay active for years to come
Independence through strength — building the physical strength to keep doing what you love, on your own terms
Increased mobility, balance, and stamina — the physical foundations that keep daily life easy and safe
Supportive social community — training alongside others who understand exactly where you're coming from
Our Program
Why Functional Fitness Matters as You Age
The exercises we do in class aren't random — they're built around the same movements you rely on every day: standing up from a chair, carrying groceries, climbing stairs, catching your balance if you trip. We call these "functional movements" because they carry over directly into daily life.
As we age, muscle mass declines, joints stiffen, and balance becomes less reliable — but all of these changes respond well to the right kind of training. Research consistently shows that older adults who train this way see real gains in strength, bone density, balance, and mental sharpness, along with better sleep and mood.
What a Seniors Class Looks Like
Our Seniors Program is coached by Tsungho, who leads every class with an emphasis on safety, proper technique, and building genuine strength and confidence over time. Classes run twice a week — Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30 PM. Every exercise can be adjusted to your ability level. A typical class includes:
A thorough warm-up to prepare joints and muscles for movement
Strength work using bodyweight, medicine balls, or other light weights — with modifications always available (for example, a chair-assisted squat instead of a full squat)
Balance and coordination drills
Mobility and stretching work
A supportive group environment where everyone works at their own pace
Nothing is one-size-fits-all. If a movement doesn't feel right for your body, your coach will show you an alternative that targets the same muscles safely.
The program is open to adults 55 and older — no prior fitness experience required. If you have a specific health condition or physical limitation, we recommend a quick conversation with your doctor before starting and also letting your coach know so class can be adapted accordingly.
