My CrossFit Story
I originally started regular exercise to lose weight and to improve my volleyball serve, which got me running and going to the gym. After training alone for a while, I wanted to try something new and meet people I could train with. A friend introduced me to CrossFit, and after watching a CrossFit Games event, my CrossFit journey began. There's so much to CrossFit, and it always feels fresh. There's always something new to work on and improve, which keeps me motivated to keep training. But what really made me stay is the community. Having a group of friends who share the same passion is something truly special.
Why I Coach
I got certified because I wanted to understand this sport more deeply and to understand what my own body was capable of. After becoming a coach, I got much better at observing how members move, and when I can help someone find a better way to move through small adjustments and watch them improve, it gives me a real sense of accomplishment. My coaching philosophy is to build a strong foundation first — establishing body awareness and good movement patterns safely — before gradually progressing to more advanced movements and skills. I often tell my members: "Don't rush, and don't compare yourself to others. Focus on your own training, build steadily, and progress will happen naturally." I especially love working with beginners, helping them get to know their own bodies. With more experienced members, I prefer to exchange ideas and figure out together how to keep getting better.
"Build the foundation. Trust the process."
