HYROX Training in Taipei
HYROX is the world's fastest-growing fitness race — and Hongtai CrossFit is where Taipei trains for it. We're located in Nangang, the same district that hosts the official HYROX Taipei race weekend, and our HYROX program is built to get you race-ready, whether this is your first event or your fifth.
“Train for HYROX in Taipei at Hongtai CrossFit — minutes from the HYROX Taipei race venue in Nangang. All 8 stations, expert coaching, and the #Hysociety community.”
What is HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness racing series with one standardized format, used in every city where it's held: 8 rounds of a 1km run, each followed by a functional workout station — 8km of running and 8 stations in total. Every athlete, everywhere in the world, races the exact same course, which means your Hongtai training results translate directly to race day.
The 8 HYROX Stations, in order:
SkiErg — 1,000m
Sled Push — 50m
Sled Pull — 50m
Burpee Broad Jumps — 80m
Rowing — 1,000m
Farmer's Carry — 200m
Sandbag Lunges — 100m
Wall Balls — 75 or 100 reps (division-dependent)
Race Divisions:
HYROX Open — individual, standard weights
HYROX Pro — individual, heavier weights
HYROX Doubles — teams of two, sharing the work
HYROX Relay — teams of four, each racing 2 stations
Whether you're chasing a fast time or just want to finish strong, HYROX's inclusive format means you race at your own pace — there's no fear of "finishing last."
Train Minutes From Race Day
HYROX Taipei is held annually at the Nangang Exhibition Center — right in our neighborhood. Training at Hongtai means you can practice on equipment you'll actually see on race day (SkiErg, rowers, sleds, sandbags) without ever leaving the district you'll be racing in. When race weekend arrives, you'll already know the area, the commute, and exactly how your training translates to the course.

Training at Hongtai means joining not one but two fit communities at once — our CrossFit family and the growing #Hysociety of HYROX athletes in Taipei. Our coaches design HYROX programming around the same varied, challenging stimulus that CrossFit is built on, so whatever your athletic background, you'll find training partners and coaching to match your goals.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
No. HYROX training focuses on running and the 8 specific stations rather than CrossFit's broader movement library. That said, many of our HYROX athletes are also CrossFit members, since the strength and conditioning built in CrossFit classes carries over well.
-
Yes. All new members complete the Foundations Course before joining any group class — CrossFit or HYROX. It ensures everyone starts with safe technique on the core movements before training at group pace. Learn more about Foundations.
-
Registration for HYROX Taipei happens through the official HYROX website (hyrox.com). Our coaches can help you figure out which division and category is right for your first race.
-
Running shoes, a water bottle, and a towel — the same as any CrossFit class. Some athletes prefer separate shoes for running versus lifting; ask your coach for guidance if you're serious about racing.
-
Yes. HYROX's format is designed to be approachable — you can complete the full race format at a walk/jog pace if needed, and our coaches will scale the strength stations to your current fitness level.
-
Our HYROX coach teaches primarily in English. If anything isn't clear, other class members are always happy to help translate — our community is used to training together across languages, and no one is left behind.
